Pre-K to 2nd Grade Opportunities:
- Sensational Seasons
Come explore and discover what makes each season unique, and how plants and animals change and prepare for each season! From flowers blooming in the spring to leaves falling in autumn, Bucks Audubon is the perfect place to explore the seasons. Want to come each season? - Nature Senses
From smelling flowers to touching a turtle to listening for bird calls, student’s senses will help them to connect with the world around them. Students will explore nature using their different senses and learn how different animals experience the world through the use of their senses as well!

- Feathered Friends
Students will learn all about birds, and what makes these animals so unique. From feathers to beaks to eggs, students will discover the interesting similarities and differences between different types of birds.

- Wild about Water
Water is important for all living things, especially for those that call the water home. Students will explore the stream, marsh and pond of Bucks Audubon, discovering and comparing what plants and animals make each habitat their home!

- Habitat Discovery
Students will love exploring the meadows and forest of Bucks Audubon, discovering along the way the many plants and animals that call them home! Students will learn what makes a habitat unique to each animal, and how all living things are connected.

3rd to 5th Grade Opportunities:
- Birds of Bucks County
Bucks County is a wonderful place to watch and learn about birds! From the birds we see everyday, like robins and crows, to the birds that are just passing through on their migration, like the ….., students will explore the many physical and behavioral adaptations of local birds and how to enjoy bird watching anywhere.

- Exploring Ecosystems
From meadows to forests to wetlands, students will explore the various ecosystems of Bucks Audubon. Discovering the living and non-living parts of each ecosystem, students will understand the importance of all living things in an ecosystem, threats to our local ecosystems, and how our ecosystems may differ from others in PA and the world.

- Wetlands and Watersheds
Students explore the Honey Hollow Watershed, learning about the topography, ecosystems, and living things that make it home! Discover why wetlands and other aquatic ecosystems are so important, and how we can protect them.

- Amazing Adaptations
Students will discover what makes each living thing unique, and how they have adapted to suit their environment and their role in their ecosystem! Students will explore and identify local plants and animals and learn about their unique adaptations!

- Predator/Prey
In this action-packed activity, students become animals in a food chain, attempting to fill their survival needs, while avoiding predators and learning about animal interactions and adaptations.
- Co-Op
Games and problem-solving initiatives use nature to challenge students to work together. This class is designed to promote group cooperation, communication, and trust.
Special Opportunity: STEM in the Watershed (4-part unit)
Dive deeper into the watershed and surrounding ecosystems with our 4-part unit, STEM in the Watershed. The program provides two in-class pre-lessons that introduce vocabulary and subjects, a full-day field trip to Bucks Audubon, and an in-class follow-up lesson to process what students have learned.

- Birds and Climate Change
Birds are important indicators of the health of our environment. Through looking at data collected by scientists around the world, impacts that we can see in our area, and gaining an understanding of climate change, we will explore how our local birds are impacted by the changing climate.

Students will take a deep dive into ecosystems with a comparison study of the meadow, forest and wetland ecosystems of Bucks Audubon. We will look at the differences in plant and animal communities, impacts from environmental factors such as invasive plants and climate change, and explore personal actions that can help to protect our local ecosystems.
