Join us as we get up close and personal to animals from turtles to birds of prey during our Earth Day celebration. Participate in our art contest, too!

12:00-1:00 p.m.

Reptile Roundup

Emily Groth, our resident reptile expert, will share adaptations and myths about reptiles and provide up-close introductions to the reptiles that call Honey Hollow Nature Center home.

1:00-1:30 p.m.

Break

Bring a picnic, explore our nature center, take an invigorating walk on one of our trails, or relax in the bird blind and watch the action!

1:30-2:30 p.m.

Animals with Briar Bush Nature Center

You don’t have to go to another country or even a zoo to see exciting animals; we have them right here in our own backyard! In this program, you’ll meet animals from here in Pennsylvania and learn why they are worthy of some hometown pride.

Tickets

Members: $10 for one session; $15 for both

Non-Members: $20 for one session; $30 for both

The fee supports our programming!

Art Contest

Participate in our 2nd annual Earth Day art contest!  This year’s theme is Wild Portraits: Faces of Nature,

Submit your poster or photograph by April 10th, and it will be displayed in our Nature Center during the event.

Contest Rules

  • Theme: Wild Portraits: Faces of Nature. Only posters containing WILDLIFE will be accepted.
  • Media: Posters and photographs
  • Contest Age Groups: 4-6 | 7-12 | 13-18 | Adult | Senior (65+)
  • Media Size: Posters – 11″ x 14″ max; Photos – 8.5″ x 11″ max
  • Deadline: April 10th, 3:00 pm
  • Note: Submit original artwork; no tracing or direct copies. No AI-generated art. Posters should be fully detailed, and the full space should be colored/drawn. Photographs must be printed, not digital.

Artwork Submission

SUBMIT BY APRIL 10th to 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA 18938.

Submitted artwork may be used for publicity purposes.

Artwork must be picked up the week of April 30.  Artwork that is not picked up become the property of Honey Hollow Nature Center.
