Penn Environment Letter Writing Event

January 22, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

In the New Year, we are going to keep working towards a better climate. We have witnessed several threats to our planet in the past year alone, including rollbacks of environmental protections proposed by the EPA and strong warnings from the global scientific community. We have knowledge of the problem, and what we need going forward is the political will for change to save our climate. Let us open a line of communication with our  (newly) elected officials and communities to encourage them to make climate action as a priority this year. Writing a letter to a decision maker or a short opinion piece to your local newspaper about why climate change is your priority takes a very short time and has a lasting impact. Join us on January 22nd to write letters to Congresspeople, Senators, and our local news outlets to get the word out and get the conversation started. We will provide talking points and resources to help you take action.

Let us know you’ll come by emailing Bob McGarry, a Bucks Audubon Advocacy Committee member, at rjmcg27@gmail.com
