Advocacy for a Cleaner Earth

November 8, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Are you passionate about saving the environment and want to do something more to advocate for it? Learn about advocacy regarding different environmental topics (such as air, water, gas, etc…) from professionals during this season’s lecture series at Delaware Valley University!

This month will feature Richard Myers – former Director of the Southeastern PA Sierra Club who will present on “The Ecology of Activism: Finding Meaning and Making a Difference in Challenging Times”. Our world today offers unique challenges and opportunities for an activism that seeks to create a more sustainable and just society.  We will discuss the social, political, economic, as well as environmental,  landscape with the goal of creating a truly ecological approach to the activism that may allow us to create the world we and future generations deserve.

Richard has worked extensively teaching others about the environment from founding his own environmental organization that focused on nuclear and energy issues, to teaching at University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and high school gifted students. He also directed radiation and nuclear issues program for the Clean Air Council in Philadelphia.

This program is free and open to the public! We hope to see you and a friend there!

*Note- please leave yourself some extra time for parking!
