Teacher Naturalist Training is for adults interested in working with school children and who are interested in preserving our environment, enthusiastic, able to work with children of all ages and abilities, flexible and willing to learn new lessons, and who possess a good sense of humor. Participants will be introduced to techniques for sharing the wonders of the environment with groups of students who visit the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center as well as trained in specific lesson plans used.

This spring, training will be held on Wednesday mornings beginning March 15 and continuing for six consecutive Wednesdays, from 9:30am to approximately 12:30pm.  Please call 215.297.5880 to register, or send an email with “teacher naturalist” in the subject line to:  dianesmith@bcas.org

Participants should be able walk reasonable distances over uneven ground while carrying moderate amounts of weight and be willing to be outdoors during all types of weather. Upon completion, participants are asked to teach at least 30 hours during the next 10 months, for which they will be paid.
