Young children's enthusiasm about nature is nurtured through our hands-on programs designed especially for pre-schoolers. Programs are scheduled throughout the year for 3-5 year-olds and an adult friend.

Pre-School Explorers 2009

This series of nature programs is designed for preschool children and their parent or caregiver as a unique sharing and a fun learning experience with story time, outdoor adventure, craft, and a snack.  Children ages 3 – 5 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

 

Each topic will be offered at 3 different times:

Tuesday at 10:00 – 11:30 am and 1:00 – 2:30 pm, and Wednesday at 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

Pre-registration and pre-payment required. 

We have even lowered our members prices from last year!

Members $8, non-members $12. Members can save even more! - sign up for 6 programs at the time of registration for $40 (save $8!).

Join us at the Audubon Pond and drop in a line and see what you catch!  You can bring your own pole.  We use barbless hooks.

Let’s go on a walkabout and see what’s happening in the fall.

 

October 20 & 21  Going Batty!

Bats are very helpful creatures.  Come find out all about them!

 

November 3 & 4  Silly Squirrels

Let’s learn about these fluffy-tailed creature that scamper around Honey Hollow.

 

November 17 & 18  Turkey Tales

It’s almost Thanksgiving and time for that famous bird, the turkey!  We’ll learn about these cool birds.

 

December 1 & 2  Camouflage

Why are some animals better at hiding than others?

 

December 15 & 16  Ornaments for the Animals

Animals need a special treat this time of year.  We’ll make some tasty ornaments for the birds and squirrels.
